Another major goal of the branding was to emphasize that their music is created by a local church and for a local church, pushing back on “mega church” marketing and aesthetics.These two goals were achieved first and foremost through the name of the band, which is taken directly from Calvary’s physical address, and the sound of the band which is actively exploring new terrains while staying rooted in ancient hymns and psalms. Visually, the bold and bright colors, the playfulness of the logo and illustration, the experimental cropping and editing of the photography, all work to achieve this end. organization, our creative team sought to mark these changes with a (somewhat) new look, and clarifying messaging. The global movement, that originated with the Costa Mesa campus, was/is marked by various iterations of the dove logo. The new westward flying dove celebrates it’s historical California roots, while the more geometric and symmetrical qualities bring a freshness to the familiar bird. inspired by “pop-up” books. The “story within the story” unfolds as the squirrel dives into a book in his magical front yard. We hope this mural sparks many kids’ imaginations as they enter the library! Personal Role: Art Direction, Design, Motion Creative Direction, Project Management: Barry Pesner 2022 While at Exact Printing &amp; Packaging Inc., I was able to take on the challenge of rebranding Surfside Properties Inc. The owner is an expert contractor, and real estate developer, with 40 years of experience. Like most seasoned business owners, he wanted to carry over that legacy into new branding, while adding a modern touch to appeal to his growing, younger client base. Although many real estate/property development companies throughout Southern California have an ocean or sunset theme in their visual language, the intention behind the new mark was to follow this trend within the market while using a more modern, abstract, and minimal approach. To carry over some familiarity, I kept similar deep blue and neutral tan swatches, and added a touch of brightness with a new yellow tint. The logotype serif font Mrs Eaves XL Serif Nar OT is reminiscent of the previous serif font, but with a more distinct typesetting. https://lyndeeglover.com/72-hrs-in-Munich Fri, 24 Feb 2023 02:11:14 +0000 Lyndee Glover https://lyndeeglover.com/72-hrs-in-Munich 72 hrs. in Munich (Zine) Personal Project 2020 For my first time in Europe, I wanted to be totally unoriginal: go to Italy, look at art, and eat pasta. However, I ended up taking an impromptu trip to Germany, because when your sister is a flight attendant and sets you up for a free trip, you take it. That being said, Munich really blew me away. From the beer gardens, to a Bauhaus retrospective at Pinakothek Der Moderne, the architecture (especially striking as an American), sauerkraut and sausage (of course), castles, river surfing etc. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to document it with something tangible that I could hold onto, and to visually tell the story of this trip. them out on different colored/textured paper. After that I went to town with an X-Acto knife, glue, and scissors. I then re-scanned the collages back into the computer for final touches. Lastly, the cover design shows 72 circles/vignettes of the collages, to represent each hour I was there.
